(1) The rhythm is usually regular, but can be unreliable, since the rhythm of the heart is at such a low site.
(2) There is no P wave nor P-R interval.
(3) The QRS complex is wide and bizarre and 0.12 second or greater. The escape rhythm has taken over the pacemaking responsibility.
