AT-10 Wichita

This twin engined training aircraft was manufactured by Beechcraft in their factory in Wichita. During WWII, a little over 2,000 aircraft of this type were produced.

The AT-10 was unusual because it was constructed mainly of wood, a raw material in relative abundance during the war.

Tom accumulated close to 24 hours of flight time in this aircraft during August, 1944, to fulfill his instrument flying requirements.
