An article from the Arizona Republic (November 16, 1941), says:
A completely modern hotel, the Adams, with its 350 fireproof rooms has long been famous as the Meeting Place of the Southwest. In the Adams is the new Corinthian ‘ Room the Southwest’s most beautiful rendezvous where you may enjoy cocktails, dining and dancing every afternoon and evening .
