This site uses the science of how students best learn off of computer screens to provide basic training in women’s healthcare. It is designed to deliver the maximum amount of knowledge in the shortest time, consistent with effective immediate learning and long-term retention of that knowledge.
But in 2013, I inherited a 33 acre woods in southern Illinois. The woods had been owned by my Dad, who passed away earlier that year. The land has been in the family for generations, and I didn’t feel like letting it go, although I had no serious vision of what I would do with it. My initial thought was to just leave it alone, as my father had.
This site is a memorial tribute to my Uncle Tom, who died during WWII.
It is a collection of all of his wartime letters (hundreds of them), photographed, transcribed and indexed, so he can tell his own story of this experience. Included are explanations of many of the events he describes and photographs of the tools of war in which he was trained.
