We are having our final exams now, I had one in Maps and Charts yesterday, have one in Aircraft and Naval Identification tomorrow and then one in Physics Tues. Can&#8217;t tell you much about what is happening just now because I don&#8217;t know myself but should know something definite in about a week.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3165\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3165\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/brooksidepress.org\/cartmell\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/September-26-1943-Santa-Ana-California-Page-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-3165\" src=\"https:\/\/brooksidepress.org\/cartmell\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/September-26-1943-Santa-Ana-California-Page-2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"September 26, 1943, Santa Ana, California, Page 2\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" title=\"\"><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3165\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">September 26, 1943, Santa Ana, California, Page 2<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I really had a swell weekend at <a href=\"https:\/\/brooksidepress.org\/cartmell\/people\/aunt-mollie-smith\/\">Aunt Mollies&#8217;<\/a>. I got in about 8:30 and we visited till about 11:00. I didn&#8217;t get up till 9:00 and then had a big breakfast. To top things off they brought me back to the base. It was really a treat, we came by the <a href=\"https:\/\/brooksidepress.org\/cartmell\/places\/douglas-aircraft-factory\/\">Douglas Aircraft plant<\/a> which is completely camouflaged. Elliot Roosevelt and 2 generals were here and were the reviewing officers. They didn&#8217;t tell us till just before we went out.
