He died in 1978 at age 53. His obituary from the Decatur Herald reads in part:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em><span class=\"s1\">Bill Redfearn, 53. of Coal City, formerly of Greenville, died 2:10 a.m. Monday (Feb. 27, 1978) in his home. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation after 6 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Montrose Cemetery, Greenville. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em><span class=\"s1\">Mr. Redfearn was born in Greenville, son of Verne E. and Edna B. Baumber-ger Redfearn. He was a World War II veteran and was an electrician for Uni-royal Co. of Wilmington for the past 11 years. He married Regina Gallagher. He later married Myrtle Hansen, who survives.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>He had two children and numerous grandchildren.<\/p>\n ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tom&#8217;s friend in high school.
