Battle Dressing Station

In the corner of the Stabilization Area of the Flight Deck, behind the yellow door, is the Battle Dressing Station (BDS).

Inside, is medical equipment and a small surgical area.

The Flight Deck BDS serves several functions:

  • It provides an area immediately adjacent to the flight deck where surgical procedures can be undertaken.
  • It provides back-up medical spaces, should the primary Medical Department spaces become unusable.
  • It serves as a staging area for medical personnel to respond to flight deck emergencies.
