Benadryl is a strong antihistamine with several useful
properties:
-
It blocks or reduces allergic reactions from any cause
-
It is a sedative and can induce sleep without significant
"hangover"
-
It is an effective treatment for motion sickness
The usual dose is 25 to 50 mg orally, every 4-6 hours, as
needed.
The most common side-effects are drowsiness and dry mouth.
To keep the capsules from rattling around inside the bottle
(making unwanted noise), keep the cotton plug in place. Alternatively,
take out the number of capsules needed for a mission and place them in a
small Ziplock bag. Leave the bottle at home.
