Epithelial Cell Abnormality   LSIL Pap smears are reported in one of three categories: Negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy Epithelial cell abnormality Other An epithelial cell abnormality could range from the relatively minor atypical squamous cell (ASC), to various degrees of dysplasia, to invasive cervical cancer. Epithelial abnormalities include both squamous cell problems and glandular cell problems.
