Tetracycline Topical (Topicycline)

Category:

  • Antibiotic

Description:

  • Tetracycline antibiotic

Indications:

  • Acne vulgaris

Contraindications:

  • None

Precautions:

  • Pregnancy category D

  • Do not use in last half of pregnancy up to 8 years old due to tooth discoloration

  • Local stinging and burning upon application.

  • Slight yellowing of skin which is removed with washing.

  • Avoid eyes, nose and mouth.

  • Normal use of cosmetics is permissible.

 

 

Dosage:

Administered topically

  • Adults and Children >11 years:

    • apply generously until skin is thoroughly wet
